The IV CTO Summit Brazil, an annual event event organized and coordinated by SBHCI occured on October 11th-12th. This year it took place at Rubem Rodrigues Cultural Center, in IC-FUC premises, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
International faculty included renowned names of our specialty, such as Masashisa Wamane (JAP), Daniel Weillenman (SWI), João Brum Silveira (POR), Lucio Padilla (ARG) and many others, as well as many experienced colleagues from Brazil. Live cases of CTO was performed in IC-FUC cath lab and transmitted live to the event. Participation in LATAM SBHCI CTO Registry was a key aspect that guided invitations to speakers and panelists, as we believe this is an important way of recognizing the hard work done. Also, it is expected that those with more cases and experience accumulated should have the opportunity to share what they have learned.
It was great to meet you and discuss important updates on CTO treatment. In addition, we would also like to extend thanks to everyone who could not be present with us, but who are actively working on the LATAM SBHCI CTO Registry. It is because of your/their efforts and collaboration that we can use the Registry to inform clinical practice within Latin American and also generate scientific evidence in the CTO field.
